Since then, the Cooper Cares initiative has developed across the country with our branch teams supporting local food and clothing drives, assisting in soup kitchens, aiding in the development of community gardens and sporting facilities and volunteering at events. Throughout Cooper there is a collective goal to give back to our local community. Which is how Cooper Cares has evolved into our dedication to support those who need it most. Cooper also participates in national company-wide events such as the Steps for Life Walk and Movember. From British Columbia to Atlantic Canada, Cooper’s support can be felt across the country.
In 2023, Cooper Equipment Rentals proudly became a national sponsor of VOLT Hockey Canada, an inspiring initiative run by Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario. VOLT Hockey offers children with physical disabilities an exciting opportunity to engage in competitive play, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

At Cooper, we recognize the critical importance of supporting the mental health of children in our community. Since 2012, Cooper has been proudly supporting the George Hull Centre for Children and Families, and their Intensive In-Home Service program that launched in 2021, which addresses the complex mental health needs of youth ages 12-17.
In 2020 Cooper participated in our first company-wide Movember challenge! The Cooper team enthusiastically smashed our $5,000 fundraising goal by raising a total of $5,610 in support of Men’s health!

Each year, the Sudbury Clothing Drive stands out as one of the most successful charitable events in the Greater City of Sudbury. This winter clothing drive, developed to bring warmth to the Sudbury community, has seen remarkable success, collecting over 125,000 winter clothing items.
