In 2023, Cooper Equipment Rentals proudly became a national sponsor of VOLT Hockey Canada, an inspiring initiative run by Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ontario. VOLT Hockey offers children with physical disabilities an exciting opportunity to engage in competitive play, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

Cooper Equipment Rentals will contribute $25,000 annually for the next two years, a total investment of $50,000, dedicated to nurturing the Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario VOLT Hockey leagues. This funding ensures that each league receives essential resources, including batteries for the specialized carts and jerseys for the players, creating a seamless and spirited experience for every participant.

VOLT Hockey is an inclusive and adaptive form of hockey, specifically designed for individuals of varied abilities. This unique sport is played in specially designed chairs, providing an accessible platform for children who may not have had the chance to engage in team sports before. For many of these children, it is their first opportunity to learn valuable life skills such as team building, competition and social inclusion.
