Sun, wind, and rain. Basic elements.

Some great songs have been written about these things: Here Comes the Sun, Wild Is the Wind, and Have You Ever Seen the Rain, to name but a few.

Great metaphors for life. Into everyone’s world, there will be long days when the sun shines, the soft wind is at your back, and the rain holds off.

But the opposite is also true. Times when the sun does not show its beautiful face, you are leaning hard into seemingly unconquerable headwinds, and the rain is teeming down.

How we deal with these things is a true test of our resilience. In business, just as in life, the party can go on for a long time, but inevitably, there will come a time when we must clean up.

The cycle goes on. Party – clean up. Party – clean up. And on it goes.

This is simply the cycle of life.
