Sudbury Clothing Drive
Our Sudbury Clothing Drive is one of the most successful charitable events in the Greater City of Sudbury. The winter clothing drive is an initiative that was developed to help bring warmth to the Sudbury community. So far, we have collected over 30,000 winter clothing items in the past 3 years, with 14,431 clothing items collected in 2017 alone! Our Sudbury team organized over 95 clothing drop-off sites with partners including Rainbow District School Board, CTV, Norcat, the Sudbury Fire Department and the Greater City of Sudbury. From there, they also organized and managed the ongoing pickup of clothing items by volunteers as well as the cleaning and repair of the donations prior to distributing them to the charitable organization, Our Children Our Future. In 2017, approximately 5,000 individuals were clothed in some fashion from the clothing drive. The success of the Sudbury Clothing drive demonstrates not only the Sudbury team’s commitment and dedication to this initiative, but also shows the strong support that Cooper had throughout the community to make this initiative such a success over the years.
