Marketing Manager


As the Cooper Marketing Manager, you will work closely with Senior Management and our strategic marketing partners to develop and execute the company’s Marketing Strategy. You will support the Cooper sales team and their objectives by monitoring and improving lead generation efforts, and creating and implementing innovative promotional programs. You will promote and increase Cooper’s brand awareness through the company’s online marketing and social media presence.


• Take brand ownership to ensure the vision, mission, goals and strategies are executed seamlessly
• Analyze how our brand is positioned in the market and crystallize targeted consumer insights
• Translate brand strategies into brand plans and brand positioning
• Lead brand strategies and efforts to increase awareness in the various market we serve
• Manage corporate rebranding efforts after acquisitions
• Provide customer insight to motivate our target audience to “take action”
• Remain fully informed on market trends and implement best practices
• Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
• Collect data on consumers, competitors and marketplace; consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
• Perform valid and reliable SWOT analysis by compiling and analyzing statistical data
• Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
• Oversee the measurement and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
• Oversee marketing and advertising activities ensuring consistency with product line strategy
• Create, negotiate and execute promotion and marketing initiatives with media, sponsors, various partners, and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities
• Manage, measure and improve lead generation campaigns
• Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
• Oversee online social media strategy
• Oversee online digital marketing plans with external partners in addition to traditional media buys and promotions
• Plan, coordinate and execute events such as trade shows, internal events (i.e., open houses, customer appreciation initiatives) and industry conferences
• Work closely and in collaboration with design agencies and business leads with new Line of Business (LOB) launches
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant marketing programs and objectives are communicated to company cross-functional teams
• Provide excellent and insightful written briefs to external and internal partners


• A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive work experience in a marketing role
• Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related area of study, or equivalent experience
• Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
• Experience with online digital marketing, including social media, and content marketing
• Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate behavioral change
• Proven ability to support development of brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management
• Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc.)
• Ability to build relationships with different roles and departments across the organization
• Display effective leadership skills with a natural tendency to drive for results
• Advanced communication (written, verbal, presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Comfortable working with and the interpretation of numbers, metrics and spreadsheets
• Astute problem solving skills with ability to think out of box and under pressure
• Strong project management and critical thinking skills
• Experience in the construction industry is a significant asset
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiarity with CRM programs
• Excellent command of the English language. Bilingualism is an asset (English/French)
